Krump Krump aslo known as krumping dance is popular in the United States it is a street dancing characterize by free , exaggerated , express and highly energetic . Some dancers they dance it with a style that's intense , spiritual , and takes some serious skill . Now i want to share what ive learn about krump and how this dance begin , What its history and why every time you make a dance choreography , krump will always be applied ? As ive research Krump was started by the 'black youths' they express the dance to release anger , aggression and frustration positively in a non-violent way , black youths also started this for them also to escape gang life . They rather choose dancing than a gang of course. Krump came out of the earlier "clowning" style of Tommy the Clown begun in the early 1990s and his "Battle Zone" dance competition . It is impossible to talk about Krumping and its history without mentioning Clowning Clowning started in 1992 when Tommy the Clown started attending birthday parties as entertainment. He was the hip-hop dancing clown. He had kids young and old alike droppin’, poppin’,, and rollin’ with it. Tommy is a ghetto celebrity that helped

his community by being a role model and acting as a father figure for many young dancers.Krumping came about when young Clowns got older and started to drift away from Tommy the Clown and his philosophy. They wanted something new and original, something they could call their own. They wanted to express themselves and felt they needed something different from “commercial hip-hop” that was gaining more attention in the media that's why krump in L.A really boost. Krump is compose and build with a style . There are 4 styles in a krump . The jabs , arm swing , chest pops and stomps as what ive sai it is characterize by free so when you dance krump you will express it on a very aggresive way to release what you feel and ti boost out what your dance means for . For a lot of Clowns and Krumpers it is the dance that they felt kept them alive. They use the dance as an outlet. When people see Krumping they often think it is violent.




A Krumper said they are not fighting and in fact that is the last thing on their minds. You can get pushed in your dance or battle but you don’t think anything of it. It is just a part of the dance. The dancers feel safe when they Krump. Dancing is a comfort for those who have grown up in a violent neighborhood .Like all forms of street dance, hip hop music is the main type used for krump. Although many[who?]credit the originator of buck music to a group called Tha J-Squad, who continue to Produce "tracks" that have influenced how Krump has turned out to be. The originator of Krump, Tight Eyez, also produced a few albums that promotes the spirituality of the dance. The style of hip hop is an essential factor in krump dancing music sets the tone, tempo and mood of the dance "battle." The music is usually upbeat and aggressively lyricized, although music is often modified to remove lyrics creating "instrumentals." There are also 8 terms in krump . The Battle , Bitter , Session , Buck , Call out , Labbing , Kill off , Jabs . The battle it is when they faced off , one by one dance competition where competitors take turns demonstrating their best moves where the use of arm swings and chest movements known as flares and bucks are common. The Bitter it is a person who watches battles for the purpose of using others’ moves, styles, and originality to later claim as their own. One who takes credit for “new” dance styles that they did not create. The Session when a group of krumpers form a circle, or cipher in hip-hop context, and one-by-one go into the middle and freestyle its more likely a battle of group but each of them will dance one by one . The Buck its a word used to describe someone who is extremely good at Krumping or an adjective used to describe someone who excels so if you saw a krump session on your street you will know you will see who excels to them and that person is called buck . The Call-Out when a krumper initiates/requests a battle with another dancer by calling them out or when a dancer challenges another dancer to a battle. The Labbing it's when dancers gather to create new moves or share a new style and/or adapt their style they gather to share and let other know what they didn't know and what they wanted them to know . Basically they gathered to share out moves The Jabs when the arms move from the chest outwards in short, sharp, staccato movements it is also applied when your in a battle this one is a basic type of krump , so if you're in a battle jabs will always be applied . The Kill-offs comes in the word kill , you kill you competitor when a krumper performs a set of movements that excites the crowd to the point where the battle is over and the crowd surrounds the krumper; the opponent is "killed off." We have seen the future of Krumping played out today. Many dancers from Southern California have gone from clowning to krumping and on to other, new styles of dance. Jerkin’ is one of the dances that some Krumpers have moved to. Each street dancer will take a style and adapt it to his or her own style to make it his or her own. This is how new styles of street dance evolve. Krumping came about because dancers Tight Eyez and Big Mijo wanted to do something original and this is exactly how these dances keep progressing forward. They are always pushing new ideas and encouraging each other to be creative . The people on it is 'Tommy the Clown' (Thomas Johnson) – Creator of Clowning. Tight Eyes (Ceasare Willis) – Creator of Krump and dance group “Street Kingdom,” a dance group that specializes in Krump and aslo Big Mijo (Jo’Artis Ratti) – The “King of Krump” and co creator of Krump.
